What the Reference Does
Georgia arrest information can be public without being easy to locate. Sheriff Brad White’s Lamar County Sheriff’s Office creates and keeps jail booking material, while the Lamar County Detention Center handles custody intake. The Georgia Department of Corrections publishes information for people in state prison. Courts hold the docket and disposition after booking. When an online view is missing, the sheriff’s records process is the practical next step.
These pages gather those official paths in plain language. They explain why a person may leave a roster after release, why a state-prison photo is not the same as a county intake photo, and why a charge at booking is an accusation rather than a conviction. No booking-photo gallery is hosted here.
Resources Included
The county material is organized around the agencies and cities that actually appear in the research:
- The home page brings together the removed Lamar roster status, recent-booking history, records-request steps, state DOC search, court path, and custody crosswalk.
- Sheriff’s Most Wanted explains the absence of a verified Lamar public list and the safe way to ask about a specific warrant.
- Mugshots in the News identifies local reporting patterns and separates news copies from official records.
- Separate city pages cover Barnesville, Milner, and Aldora, including each city’s police or town contact route and its county booking destination.
- Records-request notes identify the sheriff’s form, the Inmate Info Sheet, the records line, and limits on what a current photo request can promise.
Limits and Independence
This is a privately operated reference resource. It is not connected to the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, the detention center, the Georgia Department of Corrections, the courts, or any other government agency. It cannot release or move a person in custody, post bond, arrange a visit, retrieve an official file on request, or give legal advice.
- Current custody must be confirmed by the jail or sheriff, not by a cached page.
- Only the responsible records custodian can decide what a request produces or what must be withheld.
- Phone numbers, hours, fees, portal links, and policies can change after publication.
- A booking entry or photo does not establish guilt, and a missing entry does not prove that no record exists.
For a live custody answer, contact the Lamar County jail or sheriff. For the legal result, ask the Lamar County clerk for the docket and disposition.
Search-Partner Disclosure
Some search boxes are supplied by outside providers. Those providers set their own prices, terms, data practices, and results. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid signup, a referral fee may be received. That revenue helps support the reference pages, but it does not give the operator control over a partner’s search result or government record.
